How do I know
if I need Counselling?
Why would I need Counselling?
If you’re going through a sad and upsetting time, talking to a Counsellor can help you deal with it. Counselling is sought for a wide array of reasons, often involving emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges, or life transitions. Common reasons include managing mental health conditions like depression and anxiety, coping with stress, navigating grief and loss, improving relationships, and developing self-awareness and personal growth
Admitting you have a problem is a significant first step in the whole process of healing and recovery.
Over the past three years, I have volunteered with Cruse Bereavement Support, working with individuals facing the pain of grief and loss. I also currently support parents of neurodiverse children through a charity, helping them navigate the emotional and practical challenges they face in a safe, compassionate environment. I am committed to create a inclusive therapeutic space for neurodivergent clients.
Counselling should enable you to uncover a new, stronger version of yourself.
How can I help?
My name is Parveen and I am based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. As a qualified counsellor, I believe in the power of connection between client and counsellor — a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. This connection is at the heart of my work and reflected in the name of my practice.
I offer a safe, supportive space where clients are empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I believe that each person holds the inner resources to grow and heal, and my role is to support you in accessing those strengths. I see you as the expert in your own life — with the ability to make choices, take control, and be the driving force in your own wellbeing.
I work integratively, drawing from person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, and tailor my work to suit each individual. I have experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, bereavement, and adult isolation. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need space to be heard, I’m here to walk alongside you.
I offer single session therapy (SST), short term (6-8 sessions) as well as longer-term therapy. Sessions can be online or face to face.
